Talking Ethics and Factory Farming

David Cassuto

Great symposium at South Texas College of Law last week on animal law and ethics.  Many thanks to Professor Fran Ortiz for putting it together.  Here’s the full lineup and, if you want to stream my lecture, you can click below (although I don’t know how long the link will be live).

  1. Nice presentation. How was it received in the Q&A?

  2. Nice indeed. It’d be great if the other presentations were available as well.

  3. It was received very well. And the other presentations are streamable but I’m not sure whether the speakers have signed releases so I didn’t post them.

  4. A friend of mine who attended this conference was thoroughly impressed by the entire event, especially by your talk. So am I. I’d watch all the other speakers if you could find out whether they signed releases, David.

I’d like to think that when you attend symposiums around the world, your voice of reason really reaches — and deeply impacts — the environmental lawyers and scholars who haven’t yet considered the inextricable connection between their appetite for animals and our planet’s ailing health.

You’ll know how much of an impression you’ve made by checking out the table fare at these events in coming months and years. Please keep us apprised. Perhaps you could take photos showing the gradual (or, better yet, speedy!) evolution of environmental conference food from fauna to flora. 🙂
